How to fix VAG COM error code 00457



If you have tested your car with the VAG COM (so you have a Volkswagen, Audi, Seat or a Skoda) and after the check the error code 00457 appears, this article will show you the possible symptons, causes and solutions.

When this error appears the following text will appear in the display: "00457 - Control Module for Network (J519): No Signal/Communication"

When your car has this problem one of these symptons could appear:

  • Reduced Functionality

The possible causes for the appearing of the 00457 error code are the following:
  • Communication from/to Control Module for Network (J519) faulty
  • Wiring/Connectors from/to Control Module for Network (J519) faulty

Possible Solutions for solving the 00457 fault code are the following:

  • Check Communication from/to Control Module for Network (J519)
    • See Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
  • Check Wiring/Connectors from/to Control Module for Network (J519)

    Hi guys! kindly assist I am driving 2011 VW polo TDI 1.6, it loses power and flash Glow plug light. I scan the vehicle doesn't show anything it says engine OK. And the engine is slightly shaking. I can only drive for 90KM/H higher than that it loses

    I have a Audi a5 2.tdi convertible roof not working and is not responding and now boot lid is not working. The mechanic did scan the car and is showing network (j519). And is related to the ecu. Any suggestion what it can be.
